Tell us about Yourself

I am the creator and founder of Golden Pearl Girls a network of brilliant, professional and polished women to come together to be inspired and to inspire. I also have a book coming out summer 2018 entitled Golden Pearls of Wisdom, a sister girl conversation piece that discusses issues that most women face daily. I am also a member of Iota Sweethearts Inc. a wonderful sisterhood of support and love.

When Life Gives You Lemons
How would you turn a negative situation into something positive?

There is always something to be learned from a negative situation, it is all in your perception. We can't stop unfortunate circumstances from happening to us however we do have a choice in how we react to them. Everyone goes through something and the deciding factor between success and failure is how you respond it. The goal isn't to not have obstacles but to know how to overcome them successfully and press forward.

Making HERStory
What and/or Who inspired you to follow your dream?

Recently I encountered a feeling of unfulfillment in my life. I was faced with the option of playing it safe or stepping out on faith and doing something that I hadn't seen done before. So, with being faced with those options I took the chance on myself and stepped out on faith. I decided that I was going to write my book and create a network of likeminded women to support, encourage and empower one another. I finally gave myself permission to be successful and to be happy. I have such amazing and accomplished sisters in the sisterhood that I am apart of Iota Sweethearts Inc. that I didn't have to look far for inspiration and support. I shared my dreams with my sisters and they said, "Go for it! and we support you 100%" They are simply amazing!
