I Am Woman Tell us about Yourself Hello, my name is Stacey and I am a native of Sacramento. I have an amazing husband and two lovely sons. I run a women's empowerment group/community on Facebook and am the founder of WISE Her - a woman's empowerment business and social platform. When Life Gives You Lemons How would you turn a negative situation into something positive? I've learned to always see that any given situation can be fixed or to always see the upside. There's no reason to dwell or focus on the negative, as there is no good benefit that comes from it. Rather, to focus on how we can fix or improve the situation and move on. I believe everything happens for a reason and that if there is a negative situation, you can learn from it or find solutions to fix it in a positive light. Making HERStory What and/or Who inspired you to follow your dream? I've had a pretty challenging childhood and I think the struggles, challenges and obstacles that I have overcame allowed me to become a stronger person. I had to grow up at a young age. I realized that if I don't do things myself or push myself harder, no one would do it for me. If I wanted a successful future or a life of happiness, I am in charge of the direction I take, my mindset and how I approach things in life. Aside from this, my husband is my biggest supporter and I am so grateful and blessed to have him as a partner and my best friend. Keeping Up With the Bosses
Tell us about Your Business I own a women's empowerment business and social platform called WISE Her, which stands for "We Inspire, Strengthen and Empower Her". We empower women and young girls through various resources and outlets including but not limited to classes, workshops, meetups, events, special projects, volunteer, campaigns and much more. Regardless if you are a student, mom, stay-at-home mom, working mom, creatives, entrepreneurs or business owners, we want to reach out and empower YOU. I believe that we encounter many challenges as a woman and instead of bringing each other down, or limiting ourselves, we should support, motivate and build each other up. There is nothing like being around other positive and inspiring women where we can all come together, connect, free of judgment and win together! We want to build a community of women and spread our mission. We want to make a difference in our communities and make a positive impact along the way. We all have our own unique stories... individually, we can be heard, but as a community, we can make a difference. Empowering Bosses What advice would you give to an upcoming Entrepreneur? I have always believed in following your heart and lead with passion. If you truly have the heart for it, take the leap and try it... because you'll never know what amazing things can happen or who you can inspire and impact when you genuinely have interest and love for something. It will show and life is too short to wait on something you truly believe in and want to pursue. Believe in yourself; believe that you are worth it. Work hard, surround yourself with positive people, those who support you and want to help you grow. Be resourceful and connect with others. Owning a business is a process and a journey. Enjoy and embrace the journey and the rest will follow. Do it with love. TogetHER WE WIN What's your definition of Women Empowerment? Women empowerment is embracing who you are as a woman. It's about learning to love yourself for who you are and being able to see the good in other women and being able to celebrate, recognize and acknowledge the beauty and strengths of others. It's about nurturing, inspiring, impacting and helping others discover and see that they have so much more potential, growth and resources more than they know. It's about helping other women become the best version of themselves and getting through life together as a community of women; connecting, building, growing and thriving together. Seeds of Sisterhood What's your ingredients to a long-lasting sisterhood? I believe being open, honest and approaching life with good intentions and motives. Having the same goals and wanting to support each other and being there for one another. It's about making connections and staying connected. When women link up and help each other grow, amazing friendships and bonds can be established. Sisterhood is a commitment to helping each other grow in life and having fun while doing so. It's knowing regardless of what happens, you have sisters who are there to help get you through some of life's toughest and challenging moments. Ready. Set. Goal What is your Goal in life? My ultimate goal is to build a healthy, stable, happy and joyful life for my family, while being able serve each individual purpose and goals in life. I am a family woman and I truly love spending time with my family. At the same time, I am a working woman and I love to work. I want to help do my part in making this world a better place in general and for our future generations. Keep Encouraging Yourself What advice can you give yourself? Something we can never have enough of is staying inspired. Inspiration is a powerful thing. Let's stay inspired to becoming better daughters, sisters, nieces, granddaughters, grandmothers, mothers, wives, partners, friends, neighbors, students and whoever we become and who we are in life, stay inspired to nurture yourself and allow yourself to grow to become the best version of who YOU are. Stay inspired to live and maintain a healthier lifestyle. Stay inspired to live life in a way you want to create and build. Stay inspired to make the best of each moment... because life is too precious. Don't let the moments slip away in your hands, because that's one thing that we can never take back.
