I Am Woman Tell us about Yourself I’m a native of Farmville, Virginia. I am a southern belle who saw No as NEXT OPPORTUNITY. At the age of 18, I relocated to Atlanta, Georgia where I earned a Fashion Merchandising Associates of Fine Arts degree from Bauder College. After I graduated I moved to Los Angeles, California with only $100 and extremely high hopes to work for Sean John (P.Diddy's clothing line) Many people told me that I was crazy to move to LA to work for Sean John, especially since I didn’t have any leads. While I was searching for the great connection to work for Sean John - I obtained a Fashion Marketing Bachelor of Fine Arts degree and a Master of Business of Administration – concentration in Human Resources Management degree from American InterContinental University. And then the greatness unfolded in the palm of my hands- my dreams were fulfilled to work for the Sean John clothing line. I never gave up, even though I moved to LA with $100 and I didn’t get a job until 6 months after living here. There were many days I didn’t know how my dreams would come true but I know I never lost sight of my vision. My story is powerful, and I use any platform to share with the world of how I spoke my dreams into existence. You can say it until you see it. Nothing was going to stop me from pursuing my dreams of working for Sean P.Diddy Combs aka Brother Love clothing line. My story is unbelievable beautiful and I have found my purpose in life. I’m still in LA using my gifts to inspire the community through events to "Live your dreams wide awake". I am the Dream Pusher! I create astounding workshops, Vision Board parties and extraordinary showcases as a tool to reach today’s youth and young adults; fusing dreams, faith and entertainment. When Life Gives You Lemons How would you turn a negative situation into something positive? I will turn any situation into a positive because we are not meant to live a long life we are meant to live a good Life. I witnessed the wonderful works God of the Lord on my life , at birth I had a blood transfusion, at the age of 18 I was in a bad car accident that I shouldn’t have walked walk from, But I did. At the age of 27 I had an ectopic pregnancy and the doctor said I wasn’t suppose to be alive... but look at God I am a walking testimony. So as I look back over my life, I realize that Good will always outweigh the bad. Making HERStory What and/or Who inspired you to follow your dream? Oprah inspires me! In kindergarten she wrote a note to her teacher on the first day of school saying she belonged in the first grade. And she was skipped to the first grade. It’s beautiful to hear a woman, declared the greatness over her life. And many times after that she stated where she belong and she was ready to receive her blessing. You are only born with two types of fears 1. The fear of falling 2. The fear of loud sounds Everything else is taught. Remind yourself what is for you is for you.
